Most terms of service are written to be skimmed and regretted later. These are written to be read. They cover what happens when you call us, what we promise, what we do not, and what we ask of you in return. If anything here is unclear, call and ask. We would rather explain it than argue about it.

Who we are and what we do

Precision Leak Detection is a leak detection company serving the Phoenix metropolitan area. We locate and document water leaks in homes, businesses, pools, and buried lines using non-invasive methods, and we locate private underground utilities before excavation. We are detection specialists. We do not perform plumbing repairs. When a repair is needed, we will refer you to a licensed plumber we trust, and you are free to use anyone you choose.

Estimates and pricing

• A request for an estimate, by phone or through our website, is not a booking. It is a conversation. We will quote the visit before we schedule it.
• Quotes are based on what you tell us about the property and the problem. If the job turns out to be materially different once we arrive, we will tell you before doing additional work and give you the choice to proceed.
• Prices quoted are for detection and documentation only. They never include repair.

Scheduling, arrival windows, and cancellations

• We give arrival windows we intend to keep. If we are running late, we call.
• Same-day service is our normal schedule but not a guarantee. Emergency after-hours calls are dispatched as capacity allows and priced as emergencies, which we state before rolling a truck.
• You may cancel or reschedule at no charge by calling before the technician is en route. If we arrive and cannot gain access to the property, meter, or the areas you asked us to inspect, a trip fee may apply.

What we need from you

• Safe access to the property and to the areas involved: the water meter, main shutoff, water heater, pool equipment, and any room where water has appeared.
• Honest information about what you have seen and any prior repairs. Our findings are only as good as the starting picture.
• A responsible adult present, or a written authorization if you are arranging service for someone else's property.
• Control of pets and hazards. Our technicians will not enter an unsafe area.

What we promise, and the limits of a locate

We use professional acoustic, thermal, pressure, and tracing instruments, operated by trained technicians, to locate leaks as precisely as the physics allow. Our written report records what we found, where, and how confident we are.

A locate is an expert opinion, not a warranty. Buried and concealed plumbing cannot be seen directly. Pipe depth, material, soil, noise, and intermittent leaks all affect accuracy. We state our confidence honestly, and we tell you when a leak could not be confirmed during the visit rather than inventing a finding. We do not guarantee that every leak will be found on the first visit, that a marked location is exact to the inch, or that no other leaks exist. Repair decisions are yours, made with your plumber, on the basis of our report.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, our total liability for any claim arising from a visit is limited to the amount you paid us for that visit. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including water damage that occurred before our visit, damage arising from repairs performed by others, delays, or lost use of the property. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Payment

Payment is due when the detection visit is complete unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, as we may for property managers and commercial accounts. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice. Unpaid balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowed by law, and we may recover reasonable collection costs.

Communications

By giving us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your request, your appointment, and your report by call, text, or email. If you opt in to our occasional notes, every one will tell you how to stop them. Standard message and data rates may apply to texts. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying STOP or by writing to info@precisionleakdetection.com. See our privacy policy for how we handle your information.

Using this website

• The content on this site is general information about leak detection. It is not a diagnosis of your property. If water is moving right now, shut the main valve and call.
• The text, photographs, illustrations, icons, and design on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may share links and quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy pages, scrape the site, or use our content to market another business.
• Customer reviews shown on this site are reproduced from public Google reviews and belong to their authors. Names are shortened to protect privacy.
• Links to other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
• We work to keep the site accurate and available but do not promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, call us first. Most problems are solved with a conversation, a return visit, or a refund of the visit fee. If we cannot resolve a dispute that way, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and any claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Any claim must be brought within one year of the visit it concerns.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will appear here with a new date. Changes apply to visits scheduled after the date shown; the terms in effect when you booked apply to that booking.
